Apologies

Allow me to apologize to readers for not doing a weekly football preview this week. I will have a full wrap-up of important games tomorrow, and we'll discuss the implications of outcomes in the rankings. I have had an extremely busy-and tiring-day today.

David,
No problem out of me! I know how it can be sometimes. Say, how do you think Kansas State University (KSU) will do? I don't expect them to be in the top 25 or anything like that but will they do OK? Will they win more than they lose? Will they beat Kansas University (KU)? I'm asking because you might know and because the only teams I root for are KSU and whoever KU is playing.

Steve;
Kansas is 2-0 at present, but all of their opponents are considered easy wins for a major program UNTIL their Big 12 opener at Nebraska on September 30th, which would explain why they are unranked.

Kansas State is also 2-0, and their schedule is no sleeper from this point on. They play Marshall next week, and though the Thundering Heard are a small (formerly I-AA) program, they are notorious for pulling off upsets. After Marshall, the Wildcats play #13 (in the Coaches' poll) Louisville in Manhattan, that is clearly their toughest non-conference opponent. They open the Big 12 agains Baylor September 30th, but then play Nebraska, Mizzou, Iowa State, Colorado, and Texas in conference play before closing out the year playing the Jayhawks on the road-no easy stretch.
