Convo with Campfield

This past week I had a lengthy telephone conversation with my friend and (dare I say) political ally State Representative Stacey Campfield of Knoxville. We discussed a number of matters, many of which must remain confidential at this time. One of the things we discussed however, was some polling data that is not being widely reported because it shows the underdog Campfield with a narrow lead over his nearest competitor, establishment-endorsed Gary Drinnen.

We also discussed the fact that Tennessee Waltz is not over yet. More on that in the coming days and weeks.

David,
You know me, you know that I really hate to be a bum kick but ... Rep. Campfield is NOT the underdog (or at least he shouldn't be) he's the INCUMBENT! The fact that he has only a narrow lead over Drinnen shows that he is trouble and will be in BIG trouble when the general election rolls around.
You have to ask yourself: Why does Drinnen have such a strong showing? How many Drinnen supporters will vote for him in November? How many will cross over? How will a strong showing by Drinnen effect the fund raising he will need to do for the general election? Keep in mind that Pettigrew has a raised a ton of $$ and has hardly spent a dime of it.

Prediction: If Campfield wins the primary, he will defeat Schree Pettigrew by five points or more in November.

And Yes Steve, I know you-and I know you're a nice guy...but I also know that as nice as you are, and as sensible as you can occasionally be, you are still a liberal and a Democrat, just a more rational one than normal.

Dave:

Be careful with SteveMule, he seem rational at times, however he is as you say a liberal Demo of the Dean Dong variety (Howard Dean) and he will say nice things to your face here and use profanity to describe you in other venues.

Hope you and Nicole are doing well. If there isn't a Victory Night party in White Pine, you both are invited to Knoxville.

Mr. Hornback,
Despite our disagreements David has never lied or slandered anyone, including me. You've done both several times in your replies to my comments on your blog, your anonymous postings on KnoxViews, the posts on KnoxViews that bore your name and then were deleted by you and then denying you even knew what KnoxViews was/is and then turning around here recently and posting comments on it as the "Chairman."
While posting any comment on your blog I will be completely respectful and abide by your 'rules of engagement'. In other venues I feel no such constraints and will use whatever language I choose to use at the moment to adequately describe you, your slander, your lies and your complete lack of honor and integrity.

Correction, I have NEVER posted anonymously. I post as Brian Hornback, Brian's Blog, KnoxGOP Chairman. Any comment posted by anyone other isn't mine.

Unlike StveMule I post my real photo, SteveMule uses his father's photo from many years ago.

I have never lied or slandered about SteveMule or others.
