Van's out at RNC

A.C. Kleinheider forwards information from a Ken Whitehouse report that former Congressman and 2002 Republican Gubernatorial nominee Van Hilleary was ousted this morning as Republican National Committeeman from Tennessee by a vote of the State Executive Committee.

Any thoughts on who is replacing him?

NOTE(4:50PM): Hilleary's replacement is Memphis lawyer and Van Hilleary's predecessor on the Republican National Committee, John Ryder.

The article says John Ryder replaced him. Good riddance to a guy that screws over anyone he can for his own personal gain. And I will go ahead and bet the farm the Frist is running for governor. He was at that meeting and he is speaking at Lincoln day dinners in East Tennessee. Maybe he can fail at governor as bad as he did as majority leader. (Never made tax cuts permanent, failed to get a vote on social security reform yada yada)

You are not conservative by no means and you evidently have no idea who Van is as a person. I had the honor and privilege to see him up close and watch as he ran so he could serve our country. As far as Frist goes he will run for governor and good for him.

Adam,

Hillary looks as if she will take Texas and hopefully Ohio so we can put the Obama out to pasture and get on to defeating the Clintonistas once and for all.
