Pettigrew supporters resort to theft

Former Knox County Democratic Party Chairman Wade Till, a strong supporter of Schree Pettigrew in the 18th District State House race, has resorted to stealing Campfield signs off of the front lawns of Democrats.

Let's see, so far in this race, Pettigrew or those who support her have resorted to:

Giving her husband a plum job so she could move into the district to begin with (a buy-off)

Outright lies

Half-truths

An apparent debate setup

Stealing signs-and not just anyone stealing signs...promenent Democrats stealing signs!

Gee, this is a group we really want electing "their woman" to the Tennessee House...what a gang this is...and these people have the unmitigated gall to try and trash Stacey Campfield?

Hey, slander is a very real thing. To accuse someone of something without proof is not very smart. Campfield had better file a police report on this, otherwise he is just raking an innocent person over the coals.

Has it come to this? Slandering a bredesen volunteer to bring schree down? I certainly hope stacey isn't planning to win the race on alleged stolen signs.

No matter how many times you repeat a lie, it doesn't become true.

You guys must be really scared.

David,
It was not "debate Set Up." It was a ditch. The UTCR's can't even give the UTCD President the same story. Schree's husband was not handed a plum job - he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA and then Cum Laude from law school and passed the bar the on first attempt. He applied for and earned that plum job the old fashioned way. Face it both Pettigrew's have brains and Rep. Campfield doesn't and that importent fact becomes more and more apparent each time they appear together.

Anonymous commenter (at least have the guts to take a name): When it comes to repeating lies, you might give that advice to certain people in the Pettigrew camp-I never said Schree herself had anything to do with this, nor do I believe that.

Steve-I didn't say the guy had no creds...you just think its coincidence, then, that he got the job as the Dems were setting his wife up to run?

I have been around politics enough to know how certain things work-I don't even think what happened to Schree's husband was necessarily wrong...but it certainly wreaks of political machinery...such is the game, unfortunately.

Oh, I guess those of us who aren't Dems have no brains now...Steve, I am surprised you would use those kinds of comments.

David,
You've been around politics just long enough to be dangerous. Sorry, but a ditch is a ditch. And Rep. Campfield's conservative populist schtick is OK, good and fine but in his case it's attached to a clown. He's no Bob Vilva and he's no conservative Huey Long.

Are you guys so desperate to keep No-Show Campfield in office that you attack his opponent's family? It's pretty telling, really -- Schree must be the perfect candidtae, cause there's nothing for you to attack her on.

Stacey and his corrupt machine can keep attacking Schree's family, and Schree will keep attacking Stacey's record - no results for Knoxville.

Steve;
Since I happen to like you personally, I'll take the "dangerous" bit as a compliment. When liberals call me dangerous, experience has shown me that I am doing something right.

I think it is interesting how certain people on the Left pull out the "you're attacking the family" card when it is one of theirs, but they have no problem ttackong the families of conservative candidates.

Nevermind when it is relevent...it reminds me of Harold Jr.'s "defense" of his criminal father the other night.

Apples fall not far from trees.

SteveMule said "passed the bar the on first attempt." Hey, Steve you maywant to check your comments before posting. I am positive that you may have heard the old saying about people in glass houses.

Mr. Pettigrew may have been qualified and I will take the word of SteveMule that Mr. Pettigrew passed the bar, (something Junior can not do, it was so bad Junior never tried a second time)

But, had Mr. Pettigrew maintained his residence where they lived before the TDP convinced Ms. Peetigrew to re-locate to Stacey Campfield's district, Then I doubt that DCS would have hired him to commute for this position. A good lawyer maybe better was passed over because the Pettigrew's moved into the district, currently represented by State Representative Stacey Campfield.

David,
Will you contact Mr. Hornback and plead with him to put the crack pipe down before he starts to type out his comment and not after?
I got the slam on Ford - HaHa, oh well. However, the second and third paragraphs completely lost me. The grammer is so utterly atrocious that I have no idea what point(s) Mr. Hornback is trying to make. He leaves a sentence fragment in a paraenthetical and starts an entirely new sentence with a conjunctive! Normally, I don't comment on spelling & grammer errors - it's cheap and I make plenty of them myself. However, Mr. Hornback has succeded in sinking to a level of unintelligabilty bordering on the illiterate.
David, if you are able, would you please contact Mr. Hornback and ask him to "edite" his last comment posting and repost it? Assuming, of course, that everything has worn off? I would appreciate seeing (and understanding) what he wrote. Whatever else he might be, Mr. Hornback is uniquely challenging and I hate to see him like this. Thanks for doing this, David.

Mr. Hornback,
In the future just say - PLEASE - just say NO!
