All Saints Day
Catholics: Be reminded that today (November 1st) is the Feast of All Saints (Hallow Mass). It is a Holy Day of Obligation, on which all Catholics are required to attend and assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Failure to do so without being ill or having some other exceptional excuse places one under the pain of mortal sin, just as on a Sunday.Now get thee to the Lord's house!

In the UK, we see the publication today, on All Saints Day, of a graphic novel based on the life of St Joseph Of Copertino, "The Flying Friar". See more here: http://www.flyingfriarcomic.com
David;
Just wanted to let you know that I had the opportunity to celebrate Mass and have dinner this evening with The Most Reverend Bishop Leonard Blair. Bishop Blair is the head of the Toledo Diocese, where our home parish of St. Thomas More is located. It was a very moving and humbling experience.
Renee;
Dinner with the Bishop-good for you! I've had the pleasure of episcopal dining a couple of times. One thing that always gets you is how "ordinary" the Bishop can be.
