College football Top 25 for the "mid-term"

Here are the votes that I have submitted for the IRACF poll this week:

1 Ohio State
2 Auburn
3 Michigan
4 Southern Cal
5 West Virginia
6 Florida
7 Texas
8 Louisville
9 LSU
10 Georgia
11 Notre Dame
12 Oregon
13 Oklahoma
14 Tennessee
15 Clemson
16 California
17 Florida State
18 Georgia Tech
19 Iowa
20 Boise State
21 Virginia Tech
22 Nebraska
23 Missouri
24 Rutgers
25 Boston College

I really thought yesterday's game between Iowa and Ohio State would be a better game than it turned out to be. It was still certainly the game of the week in terms of the rankings, but the only thing that made it the game of the week was the confirmation that yes, Ohio State is really that good.

The surprise was Georgia Tech's upset of Virginia Tech. GaTech is a very good football team, and since they managed to beat out VaTech, this could put them in a position to win the ACC outright.

The Vols beat Memphis...*yawn*

Notre Dame (who whipped in-state rival Purdue) now goes into the lighter part of their schedule leading up to their season-ending showdown with USC. In advance of that game, let me say I am solidly behind Our Lady's Team for that contest.

Ohio State proved they can go into an EXTREMELY hostile environment and win. That stadium... at least early in the game, was as full of energy and excitement as any I have ever seen. Hopefully both OSU and that team up north roll undefeated into the final showdown, which will undoubtedly be a great game. ND looked impressive against a not great, but not bad Purdue squad.

Ray;
Beating Mississippi State isn't exactly rocket science.

Gaits;
