LISTEN TO THE PODCAST HERE

David,
When are yu going to realize that the bong is not your friend???
I worry for you ... truly I do.
WRT Sea Pirates ... what he supposed to do?! The captian and his captors are in a life boat surrounded by TWO (2, 1 + 1, 3 - 1) US Naval Destoryers! They not going anywhere! Stop being silly! The situation has managed down to an almost normal hostage-taking situation, that the FBI (also involved) is very good at handling. So ... just what the F is Pres. Obama supposed to be doing, David???
What do YOU think he should be doing??
David, there's a reason they call it dope.

NEWSFLASH -- America was founded as a SECULAR nation. That's why we have never had a NATIONAL religion, no religous tests for holding office, seperation of church and state, the First Admendment and so on ...
The whole "Christian Nation ... " line of BS started shortly afte the civil rights movement began to effectively use the courts to accomplish what the legislative process had failed to do. As the courts sided more and more against the conservative cause, more and more claims about America losing it's "Christian Heritige" and other such drivel started to be heard. Finally with the marriage of the GOP and the conservative religous right, more and more of the drivel began to make it in to more and more mainstream thinking.
David, you've been fed a line of BS, fed it for so long, that any percived slight to it is reason enough for failling outrage.
Nevertheless, it's a lie. There are no laws in the US mandating that I eat fish on fridays or during Lent, in fact, there's no law that even requires me to know what Lent is!!
No, we are a sercular nation where most, but not all, are Christian. That's all!! Pres. Obama stated the truth.

Dave,
Wow. It's interesting to see what insults a so-called "Christian" during Holy Week. I would have figured discussions about penis size on a site dedicated to "Christ, the teachings of His Holy Church, and of the basic vision of a Christian social morality" would be much more offensive than someone commenting about the religious makeup of a country.

"It remains one of the most intolerable and vile acts of terrorism on the high seas. 1985: Four PLO hijackers seized the cruise ship Achille Lauro off the coast of Egypt, demanding the release of prisoners held by Israel. After Syria denied them permission to dock at the port of Tartus, the terrorists executed a disabled Jewish American passenger named Leon Klinghoffer, shooting him twice as he sat in his wheelchair. They dumped his body and wheelchair overboard.

Egypt's president Mubarak then offered the hijackers safe passage by air to their headquarters in Tunisia, but American warplanes forced the Boeing 737 to land at a NATO airbase on Sicily. Though a U.S. citizen has been murdered, the Italian authorities refused to let Navy SEALs board the terrorists' plane and apprehend the hijackers.

After a tense armed standoff between Italian Carabinieri and American special forces lasting through the night, President Ronald Reagan ordered U.S. troops to stand down. The Italians allowed Abu Abbas, the mastermind of the hijacking, to escape to Yugoslavia. He remained free until his capture in Iraq in 2003."

Oh noes! St. Ronnie was soft on a terrorist! Funny, Obama has sent the US Navy to the rescue and that constitutes "nothing".

Lay off the crack pipe Dave - your brain has turned to mush!

How do you figure that the US is a "Christian" nation? As I read the history of the founding of this great country, I seem to recollect that there was a migration to America for the purpose of avoiding a state mandated religion. certainly there were other reasons why people came here - there were prison colonies in South Carolina and Georgia; hundreds of thousands were brought here as slaves; some people came here because of a chance to get a new start - heck, I've heard there were even hundreds of mentally incompetent people settled in a community called White Pine, Tennessee - but the one thing you'll never find in history books is any type of assertion that this country has a mandated Christian religion. Check with the US Census Bureau, there are many, diverse religions practicing in the US. Get with the program, Dave - you are free to practice your religion and I celebrate the fact that you are free to do so, but don't tell me that I have to share your beliefs or that I can't practice any non-Christian religion that I wish or worship (or not worship) any deity I choose. It's none of your damn business!

Oh - when the US military had Osama bin Laden trapped in a cave at Tora Bora, your boy Bush ordered the troops to back off. This order allowed bin Laden to escape to Pakistan where he still resides today. When asked about bin Laden, the boy king said "I truly am not that concerned about him."

You'd still blow Bush if he showed up on your porch and dropped trou - but you lie through your fucking teeth about anything having to do with Obama. Mental illness is not a pretty thing to watch.

MOMBASA, Kenya – An American ship captain was freed unharmed Sunday in a swift firefight that killed three of the four Somali pirates who had been holding him for days in a lifeboat off the coast of Africa, the ship's owner said.

A senior U.S. intelligence official said a pirate who had been involved in negotiations to free Capt. Richard Phillips but who was not on the lifeboat was in custody.

Phillips, 53, of Underhill, Vermont, was safely transported to a Navy warship nearby.

Maersk Line Limited President and CEO John Reinhart said in a news release that the U.S. government informed the company around 1:30 p.m. EDT Sunday that Phillips had been rescued. Reinhart said the company called Phillips' wife, Andrea, to tell her the news.

The U.S. official was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity. A Pentagon spokesman had no immediate comment.

Suck. On. That!
