Memorial Day

Every time that I see this address at the beginning of the movie Patton, I am reminded of why I am proud to be a conservative. Others are willing to hold hands and sing Kumbuya with the enemies of America. The rest of us are willing to fight those enemies. If I were asked to do it I would gladly give my life to bring about the defeat of those enemies.

Today is all about those men and women who did make that ultimate sacrifice for the defense of the Republic.

I'd gladly give my life against an enemy, too.

The problem is, who is the enemy?
In 2003, a lot of Americans wanted to kill Iraqis...not Saddam, but Iraqis.

The enemy is sometimes our own government. What do you do then?

And *trying* to hold hands and sing Kumbyah before blowing up someone or another country is not a bad idea. If that fails, then you can say you tried, unlike Bush and is thugs who went to Iraq instead of Afghanistan to go after the real enemy.

I see nothing wrong with trying to sit down with Iran, first, (we've done ti with China, Russia, and even North Korea) before blowing them up.

The only "axis of evil" I can't see negotiating with is anyone who says they will never want peace, like Hamas, who the Republican candidate for President, John McCain, said in an interview in 2006 that we should negotiate with Hamas...far worse than Obama wanting to talk with Iran.

Saddam needed to be eliminated---and only The United States had the courage to take him out. Only The United States officially declared war on terrorists----one just does NOT negotiate with terrorists, one eliminates them without any remorse.
