Burchett Takes Others To School

Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett takes other local East Tennessee politicians to school on how to be responsible with public money:

Why should a county be in the golf course business in this day and age? Almost any county-owned course could be more efficiently run and managed by private owners, but would likely be an added expense for the county. Is there a reason why Knox County owns lots of flood plain land, and land that is steep and rocky by the county's own admission? Burchett and the Knox County Commission are right to consider the sale of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, hopefully to the very Knoxville Tourism and Sports Corporation which has been running it quite successfully.
