How does one join the republican party?
Dumbpower is a tool. Name one conservative thing he has ever done? I guess driving Jimmy Naifeh home because he was too drunk to drive himself makes him conservative. I wish I could tel you more of the crap these people do in Nashville, don't hate on Kent. Trust me he's better than you think.

Either you are a legislator/staffer/Dem who supports Williams (who supports Naifeh), or you are from Carter County. The only Republicans in this State I know who like Williams are either Naifeh supporters or they read the Elizabethton Star and think it a reliable source of news
Dave, it goes beyond Carter County. It goes way beyond William's supporters. There are alot of us grass roots republican workers here in northeast Tennesssee that are very upset about what Robin Smith has done. It wasn't the right way to handle the situation. Go back and look at what happened to Winnfield Dunn. It just may happen again in 2010. Washington County is overwhelmingly behind Carter County on this. And we aren't the only ones.

Face the facts:
1) Mumpower overplayed his hand and was consequently played by old time pros
2) Williams had a good payback to all the ones who did him dirty becuase he wouldn't drink their stupid kool-aid
3) The TNGOP just cut of their nose to spitye their face. Williams is now no longer obligated to give the TN GOP house members a thing - not office space, not chairmanships, nothing.
4) All you and the other GOP'ers have now is idealogical purity. You can't do anything, except rant and whine about disipline and the like.
Enjoy your purity. I'm enjoying the schadenfreude.
